Old Hall Collection: Wine Goblets

Like the Alveston Tea Pot, these are from an online auction. They were a bargain price and four of the five are mint in their boxes, tissue and plastic bags, with their care leaflets and in one case still with it’s stringed tag attached. The fifth goblet was from a different listing, clearly used and with no box or wrapping, but still in pristine condition. I must say that these will not go at all well with the table ware I use for dinner parties, but I think they will be very useful when I serve Mulled Wine at Christmas gatherings as there is no concern over them cracking with hot liquid. I can also see me using them at Garden Parties or Open Garden events too maybe. Alternatively I might just keep them as mint collectors’ items.

June 2015 Update.

At the Old Hall Collectors’ Club summer fair I purchased a further 5 goblets, three in satin finish and two in bright finish, bringing to 11 the total I have in service.
